I already had noted Steve's comments in my "to 
do" list for Draft 2 of version 0.7 ... no code 
list association schema changes are anticipated 
with Draft 2 (otherwise I would be creating a version 0.8).

My short answers to Steve's comments are "yes 
this could work for an enumeration of specified 
identifier values" and "no this does not 
accommodate the concept of describing an 
algorithmic pattern for identifiers" 
(interestingly, this concept of a pattern and the 
lack of support for it is is a FAQ and its answer 
for the code list committee).  I'm planning to 
add text to the methodology document to cover this off.
