Subject: Minutes of Atlantic UBL TC call 3 November 2009
MINUTES OF ATLANTIC UBL TC MEETING TUESDAY 3 NOVEMBER 2009 ATTENDANCE Kenneth Bengtsson Jon Bosak (chair) Tony Coates Mavis Cournane Mike Grimley Betty Harvey Anne Hendry Zarella Rendon Andy Schoka Calling from the PSC meeting in Brussels (hosted by ENEA): Oriol Bausa Georg Birgisson Peter Borresen Arianna Brutti Roberto Cisternino (remotely) Tim McGrath (vice chair) Sven Rasmussen STANDING ITEMS Additions to the calendar: http://ubl.xml.org/events PB: A workshop sponsored by the European Commission called "Applying standards in eProcurement and eInvoicing" that features CEN/BII and other standardization activities for eProcurement and eInvoicing will take place 24 November in Brussels: http://www.epractice.eu/en/workshops/einvoicestd Review of Pacific call minutes No comments. SCHEDULE REVIEW http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/200909/msg00017.html TM/PB: Originally intended to conclude disposition of issues at the PSC meeting this week, but the etendering and utility statement requirements remain to be merged in. So we estimate another 1-2 weeks before we have a complete set of 2.1 spreadsheets. Discussions have identified more document types to be added. Regarding the strategy outlined in the minutes from last week's Atlantic call: it's now clear that one final step in the spreadsheet consolidation will be working out all of the code list requirements and identify where we actually have know code list values. There are probably a hundred code lists in the library now. AGREED to aim to deliver a skeletal PRD package for review over the holiday break, hand in the reviews the first week of January, and start the first formal editorial pass the second week of January. We already have enough material for a credible and useful PRD1. ACTION: TM to check to make sure that the changes to definitions identified by the JPLSC and agreed on during compilation of the IDD (see IDD Vol. 1 for documentation) have been implemented in the 2.1 spreadsheets. UBL 2.0 NAMING AND DESIGN RULES NDR PRD2 is hanging because we're not using the latest OASIS document templates. ACTION (10/20): GKH to provide updated DocBook stylesheets. JB: GKH has finished the stylesheet revision and is now working on the documentation. CCTS 2.01 DMR ACTION (6/30): TM to circulate a draft CCTS 2.01 DMR to the TC for review. Pending. UBL 2.0 NDR IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE WIKI http://wiki.oasis-open.org/ubl/NDR_2.0_Implementation_Guide BH: NIST will soon be releasing version 2 of the Q/A tool and BH will be beta testing it. AGREED that Jan-Feb will be a good time to pick up work on this along with the NDR 2.1 documention. 2010 UBL TC MEETING SCHEDULE 2-5 February 2010 in Copenhagen or Malmö; Tim McGrath to chair. (Preliminary) 9-13 August 2010 (the week following Balisage 2010) in Montreal or Ithaca. AS: Freightwise has a requirement to add location data. TSC will be adding a location element from the CEFACT library. More elaborate location data is needed for geophysics; not needed now, but PSC might have some interest. AH: The Energy Market Information Exchange TC needs to define location, so they may be using the Emergency Management version. JB: Concerned that the Emergency Management TC may be working in ignorance of the CEFACT location database. ACTION: AH to inform the EM TC of the existence of the CEFACT work. TM: Attended a Freightwise meeting last week; there were 180 people in attendance. This will roll into a bigger project called eFreight, which looks like a freight version of PEPPOL. Jon Bosak Chair, OASIS UBL TC
