i have no objection.Bear in mind that under UN/CEFACT policy the directories (including code lists) are republished twice a year whether they are amended or not. so things like TRED3155 will be the same in 11A and 11B - just the path changes. So we could forever chase our tail on this one.
That brings up an interesting point, then ... what is the definitive version of each code list? The publishing date or the version documented inside. Actually, I just looked and the version documented inside is sometimes the publishing date and sometimes an arbitrary number. Hopefully there is integrity in the arbitrary number. I should be able to check with other genericode files we've published with arbitrary numbers.
But I don't think we are chasing our tail. We simply publish the latest code lists with the latest version found in each code list file, and then trading partners can choose to use those files or choose to use other files. The second pass data type qualifications we publish are not normative but simply represent the qualifications the committee believes will help the community of users.
PS 11B for UN/EDIFACT (that includes the code sets) is delayed for publishing reasons but will be released in the next 6-8 weeks.
Ah, then while the schemas are not expected to change between PRD3 and CS01 we can still consider updating the code lists using the latest lists with the latest version numbers.
