The initial model used the Shipment Stage of the Consignment to denote pickups and delivery details. This is because there may be several pickups and deliveries in the life of a Consignment.
However we have allowed Requested and Planned as direct associations with the Consignment and so it seems logical and consistent to also allow the Actual Pickup and Delivery details.
These direct associations between Transport Events and Consignment would apply to a snapshot in time of the Consignment or where only one shipment stage is used.
We should draft a usage note to explain this.
