Subject: [OASIS Issue Tracker] (UBL-55) Should new Tender Status Inquiry be Tender Status Enquiry

    [ https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-55?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=64295#comment-64295 ]

Kees Duvekot commented on UBL-55:

DocumentStatusRequest                -> DocumentStatus
TransportProgressStatusRequest  -> TransportProgressStatus
TransportationStatusRequest         -> TransportationStatus

But all three "responses" on the requests can always be issued without a corresponding request present if agreed in the specific implementation.
The last two documents have an optional reference to the Request document, the first one (DocumentStatus) does not (maybe that should be added in 2.2?)

So I think we should not limit the naming of a "Request" for status only to Request/Response pairs. In fact the "Response" document that we current have (TendererQualificationResponse, OrderResponse(Simple), ApplicationResponse) do not even have a "initiating document" name <something>Request.

> I think for consistency we need to change the name of this new document type from "Tender Status Inquiry" to be "Tender Status Enquiry".
> Please let me know if there are any objections.
> An easily overlooked issue ... we are supposed to be using Oxford English.
