Critical path to PRD01

Agreed to postpone PRD01 for May 2019 in order to get all changes and change requests incorporated into the draft.

Critical path:

-  SC submissions and tickets discussed further down

-  Critical bug concerning unbounded price at line level was previously deferred from 2.2 to 2.3 and remains open: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-45

-  Discussion of normative status of data element descriptions: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-168

o  Proposal to add new subsection under section 4, Additional Document Constraints:

 4.7 Semantic definitions

The UBL Technical Committee has ascribed a definition to each of the business objects in UBL. These definitions provide important semantic context for the interpretation of the content. These definitions are found in the normative XSD Schemas. They are also transcribed into the XML model ODS spreadsheet, XLS spreadsheet and the HTML document reports.

To facilitate interoperability, implementations SHOULD follow these definitions to ensure the successful interchange of the business information.

o Agreed to include the above wording in 2.3 to clarify the normative status of the semantic definitions.

-  References to instance document rules in UBL section 4: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/UBL-227

-  Any other open JIRA tickets that are considered critical for PRD01?

o  UBL 2.3 issues: https://issues.oasis-open.org/issues/?filter=12972

o  Agreed to update priorities in the JIRA tickets so that those marked âMajorâ are the ones considered critical for PRD01.

Subcommittee conference calls

-  Australian Localisation Subcommittee meetings temporarily suspended

-  Transportation Subcommittee will be meeting on Thursday every week at 14:00UTC (will be using Peter's GotoMeeting facility)

-  Pre-award Subcommittee will be meeting on Wednesdays every week at 13:30UTC (will be using Natalie's WebEx facility)

-  Other subcommittees will be meeting on an as-required basis

Face-to-face

With PRD01 out in May, then we will receive comments during June and can start working on these in July. Do we still need two face-to-face meetings?

Agreed to keep dates as close to public reviews as possible. Specific dates to be decided once we know the publication date of PRD01.

July and August difficult for European members due to holiday season.

Europe

If we had a face-to-face the week of 2019-09-23 then attendees could continue on to Vienna for the Exchange Summit conference the following week (as was convenient for some members in 2018).

Offers to host from Zwolle (NL), Copenhagen (DK).

US

Do we need a face-to-face in the southern US this year? If so, who do we know who could host us or sponsor a meeting venue?

Offer from Ken to host in Ottawa July/August.

Would the US Fed in Minneapolis be able to host us in July or August?

Face-to-face meetings would be timed after the end public reviews so that we can work on comment resolutions.
