Agenda:

Open floor discussion of the pros and cons of different strategic approaches to XML and JSON in the different contexts, such as exchange frameworks and APIs. It was agreed that:

 

• The TC will continue to maintain UBL 2.x. Next revision will be 2.4, which is scheduled to be drafted this year.
• The TC will initiate a pilot project to create a model that addresses the challenges and opportunities of using UBL in a JSON / API context. The pilot will not be constrained by backwards compatibility obligations.

 

Other business:

 

Agreed to conclude the series of strategy sessions. Regular meetings will resume the week of October 11 (Pacific) 12 (Atlantic).
