Subject: RE: [uddi-dev]
DNS is for translating IP address to host names. UDDI is for finding web services. They are for different purposes. -----Original Message----- From: JoséMiguel Fernandes [mailto:jmiguelsf@hotmail.com] Sent: Wednesday, February 12, 2003 9:59 PM To: uddi-dev@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [uddi-dev] Hi! I'm writing an article about UDDI. I 'd like to compare it with DNS... some people says that "UDDI should substitute the actual DNS service". Can anyone tell me the reasons behind these afirmations ? UDDI is more scalable? Thanks and regards! _________________________________________________________________ MSN Hotmail, o maior webmail do Brasil. http://www.hotmail.com This communication, including attachments, is for the exclusive use of addressee and may contain proprietary, confidential or privileged information.
