RAS vs UDDI

I just came across the Reusable Asset Specification (RAS) [1] and was 
quickly comparing it to UDDI.

RAS has a <classification> element that seems alot like UDDI categoryBag.

It also talks about an RAS Repository Service.  Seems like a lot more work 
is needed to flush it out.

Flashline supports RAS [2].

In some sense, RAS seems to duplicate much of what UDDI provides.

Any thought of harmonization or liaison with OMG folks doing RAS?
