Subject: Discontinuous annotations
Why not have a DiscontinuousAnnotation which is a subtype of Annotation which has a member which is an array of Annotations? Alternatively, perhaps a View (AnchoredView, probably) could be used for such groups of Annotations? But a view isn't itself an Annotation. This would seem to me to be suitable for capturing co-reference chains, but probably not intuitive for the case of a true discontinuous annotation, e.g. some named entity reference which may have some intervening extraneous terms in a specific text.
