Subject: RE: [uima] Statement of use from UC Denver

Temis is not an organizational member either. The status is “associate”.

It’s clear that this status doesn’t allow to vote for Oasis Standards in general but it’s not clear if I can vote for Standards issued by committees I’m enrolled in.  This will be weird to be able to vote all the way during the creation process but not at the end to say “I approve this message J

David, I note in Mary's response on the ballot that only Organizational members can provide a statement of use -- UC Denver is not an Organizational member as far as I know.

Let me know if this is not adequate:

The University of Colorado Denver is using the UIMA CAS and UIMA Type System specifications and XML schemas in accordance with the conformance clauses specified in the Unstructured Information Management Architecture 1.0 specification. Our use is based on the Apache UIMA open source implementation. We have integrated components developed on-site with those from the Jena University Language & Information Engineering (JULIE) Lab and the Tsujii Lab U-compare site (http://u-compare.org).
