OASIS UnitsML website

     The web-based roster, mail-list and information pages for the new 
OASIS UnitsML TC have been established.   The public site for the TC can be 
found at 
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=unitsml, and the 
TC-members-only page with some additional information at 
http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=unitsml.
     As described in the TC Call for Participation at 
http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/tc-announce/200606/msg00002.html, 
prospective members should confirm their intent to join by using the "Join 
this TC" button on the TC's public page.   Please note the membership 
process steps described in that message.  The "Join this TC" request also 
will  trigger any confirmation that OASIS may need of approval from the 
participant's employer or organization, if the latter is an OASIS 
organizational member.
     All persons who join the TC as a member, or sign on as an observer, 
will be subscribed to the TC's main mail list (the address for which is 
cc'd here).   Meeting arrangements and announcements will be posted there 
by the TC's convener, Simon Frechette, and OASIS staff prior to the first 
TC meeting on 12 July.  However, technical discussions of the work itself 
should not commence until the work actually begins, at that first 
meeting.
