{} would be needed around a list:

\defaultfontfeatures{Ligatures={NoCommon,NoRequired,NoRare}}

We would also need to drop Mapping=tex-text and maybe add NoContextual
just in case. NoRare is off by default so should not be needed.


But we do have this problem with htlatex and I don't know
how to fix it properly yet.
