Increasing the Value of OASIS Membership

Dear OASIS Members and Colleagues,

Please allow me to share one other potentially useful bit of information and then make a very short plea for your support, if you will be so kind. As some of you already know, even if you have already voted you have the right to change your vote until the ballot closes in just a few hours. Of course, I hope that my proven track record in OASIS at both the technical and leadership level, my platform, and my reputation and experience in multiple industry standards organizations have lead you to support my candidacy already. 

If you are still thinking about it, I think you have a right to ask why am I stepping forward to serve on the Board of Directors again? Let me be honest with you. What drives me is the need for OASIS to improve the value of membership, a key factor in the continued success of OASIS. That means a renewed focus on, amongst other things, the traction of its standards internationally, and the possibility of greater agility and efficiency within OASIS and its supporting processes. What further impels me is my own current experiences as TOSCA Co-Chair, as a consumer of the current OASIS process so-to-speak. May I add that since I have served on the OASIS Board of Directors and as a Chair of the OASIS Governance Committee before, I am perfectly aware of the considerable work and responsibility implicit in this service, and I am fully committed to serving OASIS again at this high level.  

Please allow me to add that my company, CA Technologies, is as committed to the success of OASIS as I am,. As the VP of Standards at CA Technologies, I have had the pleasure to help drive significant contributions from CA Technologies such as our hosting important OASIS Symposia and TC meetings, chairing the ID-Trust Member Section and other TCs such as PMRM, participating in numerous other TCs, and offering leaders of sufficient caliber to win the OASIS Distinguished Contributor award in recognition of commitment to serve OASIS and its members.
