RE: [wemi] Draft WEMI Spec

Hi all,

I want to mention that the reason I've requested this call is not to continue processing questions and feedback.
We at Sitecore like want to verify our current effort and verify that we're on the right track.

In the upcoming period of time the majority of participants have to extend their OASIS membership. This is very expensive - especially for the smaller vendors - and needs to show value. So far, in my eyes, we are still at the very first step of the entire process of creating a standard. If we would have vendors stepping out of the process, then the standard becomes for me less valuable. In my eyes, WEMI becomes a requirement for our customers to build successful websites, not another checkbox.

During the talk today I'd like to use the following agenda:
1. Get a status where are we in the process of a standard? 
Make a list of what we need to accomplish to move to the next step.

2. Are we on track for the WEMI standard objectives?
If we compare our objectives with our proposed technical solution, do we now have a proper answer to the business case or do we have a technical solution?

3. How are we going to achieve the steps defined out of agenda point 1 and 2?
We obviously have steps coming out of the first points. In which order do we pick them up and who's taking responsibility?

4. How do we structure the group going forward? 
So far I've the feeling that Peeter Piegaze has done the majority of work, but our other participants (voting members, chair, etc) have added only comments. 

I'm more than happy to help outlining a process going forward, but then I'd need to know if I'm the only ones who has the above concerns.
Verifying this will help me justifying the time and effort spend for my employer and I hope it does for you all.

I agree we definitely need to cover the three points you mention, especially the definition of the the wemi-type.
