Subject: Re: [ws-caf] Fw: OASIS rule clarification

Eric, Karl, Mark and Martin (not sure who will resolve this issue),

We have seen a reasonable number of emails from people who did not
attend the meeting through no fault or intent of their own but because
of a problem in distributing the agenda email. The information was not
available on the OASIS site because the links from our member area to
the email archives were also not working. (Those links started to work
only over the past couple of days.) Further, the TC calendar did not
contain any information about the first meeting.

We seem to be punishing Anne, Bill, (possibly) Krishna, Rajesh, Ramesh
and probably others. In effect, a technical glitch means their intent
to become initial members of the TC will be ignored. Their votes will
not count until the first teleconference after the face to face meeting
rather than during the next teleconference if we go with this strict
reading of the OASIS rules. I recommend some leniency here.

thanx,
	doug
