Subject: [ogsi-wg] WS Resource Framework
Folks,
As you may be aware of already, representatives of the Wed services and Grid
computing communities have been working on a collection of draft
specifications that move on from OGSI 1.0. These drafts, referred to
collectively as the WS Resource Framework (WSRF), some are now ready for
public review, comment, and standardization. As you will recall from two
years ago, this is the first step in a significant process of
standardization that can be accomplished quickly but not without effort.
While we are setting up for this process, the OGSI-WG will be hosting an
open discussion of these specifications and using Gridforge to track issues
that arise.
I will be sending out an email for each of the WSRF specifications to
initiate a thread for each specification. These mails will include a VERY
brief summary of what each spec is about.
Please retain the [WS-****] tag in the subject line when starting a
sub-thread within each area. This will help the people track issues that
arise.
Also, at this stage, please no document nits. We are not in a position to
start editing the documents, particularly for nits.
The WS-Resource documents may be found at http://www.globus.org/wsrf
Note that not all specs are available at this time.
Thanks.

Take care:
