Subject: [Bug 90] Need for constraints on passing by reference or by bulk
http://services.arjuna.com/wscaf-issues/show_bug.cgi?id=90 ------- Additional Comments From peter.furniss@choreology.com 2004-06-22 14:08 ------- this issue has been deemed closed, with the text given present in 0.3. However, on technical grounds, I continue to doubt that reference/value swapping will work in realistic, useful cases, and expect to remain unconvinced until someone shows an outline of a specification that uses ws-context, and where the outline is sufficiently complete that one could hope for interoperable, independent implementation. The outline certainly need not go into details of the schemas etc., but would need to say who did what when - e.g. what additional ws interfaces on the context mgr were used etc. The demo app is a good example of the problem - changing it from by-value to by- reference changes the business contract between the customer and the stores, and changes the semantics of the context itself. I would like to be convinced of the technical soundness of the solution. The outline could be a candidate for the primer (if that is to be revised) ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
