Proposed agenda: - Reports of Chair - Report of Liaison - Plan of Work - Jira - Attack Comments 1. Reports of Chair Gershon Janssen: T: More than 100 comments have been put in JIRA that came back from the review Gershon Janssen: T: Last weeks meeting was very sparcely attended; Ed and Toby walked to half of the Jira items Gershon Janssen: T: Talk about how to work on the JIRA items later this meeting 2. Report of Liaison (Dave Thewlis) Gershon Janssen: DT: In the TC XML committee the time line for completion of work was established Gershon Janssen: DT: Remaining work is definition of services: CRUD operations and QUERY operations Gershon Janssen: DT: Agressive timeline: next two weeks CRUD operations, after which another two weeks for the QUERY operations Gershon Janssen: DT: After that two weeks to pull all together Gershon Janssen: DT: Target for stable draft is August 31, but it maybe September 15; timeline seems to be feasible Gershon Janssen: DT: Much discussion was on trying to determine for targetting SOAP, REST or both; will be either SOAP or REST. Gershon Janssen: DT: Integrated WS-Calender spec could start from September Gershon Janssen: T: Core services and core functions to be received from CalConnect, to be integrated in WS-Calendar Gershon Janssen: DT: CAL-WS document which is being put together; will be a formal CalConnect document which will be contributed to WS-Calendar Gershon Janssen: DT: How to harmonize these documents when e.g. WS-Calender finds the content of CAL-WS needs to be changed or adapted or vice versa Gershon Janssen: DT: this has been discussed; standing relationship can be used (liaisons) and comments can be contributed to each other Gershon Janssen: DT: idea is to keep the documents aligned Gershon Janssen: T: Thanks DT for focus on these procedures 3. Plan of Work Gershon Janssen: T: Services will be submitted into OASIS process as outlined by DT Gershon Janssen: T: Pressure from outside to get the work finished quickly Gershon Janssen: T: As soon as we can we should be publishing a draft, so others can comment on it Gershon Janssen: T: Emphasizes to watch for new stuff to come in and try to respond to it promptly and precisely 4. Jira Gershon Janssen: T: explains a bit on where to find and how to use Jira with a registration of all the issues Gershon Janssen: T: login is same as OASIS login, all lower-case though Gershon Janssen: T: all issues are tied to a component, currently all to the SPEC Gershon Janssen: T: suggestions for components are e.g. services, schemas, etc.; maybe we need to reclassify Gershon Janssen: T: 113 comments received on draft WD06 (mid May) have been entered into Jira Gershon Janssen: T: blue items are editorial, red are bugs (some rethinking to be done) Gershon Janssen: T: idea is to go through all the items and select which ones to discuss during the TC call Gershon Janssen: T: Toby will look at editorial items himself for now, though everybody may respond Gershon Janssen: T: JIRA items with type BUG need to be discussed by the group Gershon Janssen: BC: Key thing with JIRA is that you can comment at any time Gershon Janssen: BC: Comments to be posted in JIRA with the issue itself, so a complete record exists in due to for everybody to read Gershon Janssen: T / BC: Action Items related to issues or the document should be put in JIRA instead of Kavi Gershon Janssen: JR: Q. moving completely away from Kavi? Gershon Janssen: T: A. no, but keep one issue list instead of two. Gershon Janssen: BC: Jira is better for issue tracking related to documents than Kavi. Gershon Janssen: Discussion on JIRA# 6: Gershon Janssen: T: suggestions on "central coordination" are welcome Gershon Janssen: T: comments on JIRA issues; TC members would like to have some time to study and comment on them Gershon Janssen: T: suggestion to all is to read through them and just comment in Jira Gershon Janssen: T: suggestions for a possible deadline on this? Gershon Janssen: T: asks everybody to have a pass through the editorial JIRA issues somewhere during the Friday / Monday timeframe. Gershon Janssen: T: This gives us a cleaner overview of "real" issues to address. 5. Any other business Gershon Janssen: No LOA on record; please sent any requests to chair or secretary. 6. Adjourn Gershon Janssen: Motion to adjourn Gershon Janssen: Seconded. Meeting Adjourned. ---
