Subject: EMIX Recombination Musings
EMIX is Price and Product. Product is Resource Description and Time. We will use WS-Calendar for time series. I have been trying to clear in my mind how to separate the varying things from the invariant ones in a standard communication. A Price service may name one Product description, and a time series of Prices. A DR offer may name one Product and a time series of Loads (Quantities). A report of Energy Usage may have one product definition and a time series of Prices and Quantities; in a fixed price market, this might become a time series of Quantities only. Several formats come to mind, but I am thinking about how to indicate, generically, without special knowledge required, what part of an EMIX is shoved into the time series. tc “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it” -- Upton Sinclair.
