Document: DPWS Location (defaults to line number): 224 Owner: Antoine Mensch Description: It could be useful to restrict the supported encoding for SOAP messages to UTF-8, as each additional supported encoding carries with it additional code. Knowing in advance the encoding can also allow optimizations that speed up the message processing and reduce the dynamic memory requirements (both important issues for small devices). Proposed resolution: Add a requirement that the only required encoding that must be supported is UTF-8 (thus removing UTF-16 as a mandatory encoding)
