Description:

Discovery specification defines an attribute called “Id” to identify the message parts that are signed. Since then W3C has published a recommendation (see xml:id Version 1.0) for using xml:id for this purpose. The Discovery specification should use it instead of defining its own id attribute.

 

Proposed Resolution:

Reference and use xml:id instead of d:id.  

 

-          Reference xml:id specification. 

-          Remove d:Id from the schema and use xml:Id in the examples and description in Section 8.
