RE: [ws-dd] Draft Agenda for WS-DD Face-to-Face Meeting, December 10-11,

Here’s the draft agenda for the WS-DD TC face-to-face meeting this Wednesday and Thursday, December 10-11, 2008, in San Jose, CA.

Please note the proposed addition of a couple of top-level items to the agenda, including a report of this week’s interop event and a discussion of the timeline for the remainder of the current TC charter and possible future work.

We’d also like to note the chair’s plan for handling the issue discussions, which will consume most of the meeting time. We’d like to start by identifying more complex issues on which significant new information or proposed resolutions will be presented (such as security and event filtering); for those issues, we propose having introductory discussion on Wednesday, allowing time for consideration overnight, and then having further discussion on Thursday. For the remainder of the issues, we propose setting a time limit, such as 15 minutes, for initial discussion of each issue, and defer any discussion that extends beyond that time limit to later in the agenda. That way, every issue will receive at least some discussion, and we will be able to resolve as many issues as possible without any single issue monopolizing the time. We hope this plan meets with your approval.
