Subject: Issue 118 - WS-Discovery - Add missing text for adding Algorithmsuite attribute in the expanded signature elements (editorial)
This issue is assigned the number 118. For further
discussions on this issue, please refer to this issue number or use this
thread. From: Vipul Modi Specification: WS-Discovery Issue & proposal: The section 8.2 provides lists a step by step procedure to
expand the compact signature to full signature. The compact signature uses
fixed set of algorithms for canonicalization and signature computation. These
algorithms are fixed and listed in Section 8.2 under the description of
d:Security/d:Sig@Scheme. In Step 2 the procedure describes creating the
CanonicalizationMethod element and SignatureMethod element based on the fixed
set of algorithms used by compact signature. The algorithm used for these
element are specified by Algorithm attribute on these element. This is not
specified in the current text. The proposal is to add the text that make this
explicit. Current Text Populate the block with the appropriate canonicalization and
algorithm blocks based on the scheme in d:Security/d:Sig/@Scheme. ·
First add a ds:CanonicalizationMethod
element. ·
Next add a ds:SignatureMethod
element. Modified Text – added text in Red. Populate the block with the appropriate canonicalization and
algorithm blocks based on the scheme in d:Security/d:Sig/@Scheme. ·
First add a ds:CanonicalizationMethod
element with Algorithm attribute set to http://www.w3.org/2001/10/xml-exc-c14n#.
·
Next add a ds:SignatureMethod
element with Algorithm attribute value set to http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#rsa-sha1. Similar fix in one of the sub-bullet for Step 3. Current Text: Inside the ds:Reference element add a ds:DigestMethod element. Modified Text – added text in Red: Inside the ds:Reference element add a ds:DigestMethod element with Algorithm attribute set to http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#sha1. |
