Subject: Issue 147 - DPWS - Clarification on accepting unicast Probe
This issue is assigned the number 147. For further discussions on this issue, please refer to this issue number or use this thread.

DPWS now requires (MUST) a device to support receiving a directed Probe over HTTP at any HTTP addresses where the device endpoint is available.
Shouldn't we also define a WELL KNOWN port/uri combination where a device would accept a directed Probe?
This would allow to kickstart a full DPWS conversation knowing only the ip address of the device, as there are many different ways (proprietary, dns, directory based...) to get the ip address of a device.
