Subject: RE: Poll on possible WS-DD TC face-to-face meeting, 14-16 July 2009
Whoops – I said “June 8 teleconference” below, but that should have
been “June 9 teleconference”. If we get a substantially complete response before the June 2
teleconference, we could decide to make at least a preliminary decision then,
but we’ll see if people have had enough time to check with their organizations
regarding tentative travel approval before then. -- Toby Toby Nixon |

[mailto:Toby.Nixon@microsoft.com] There
have been three offers to host a face-to-face meeting of WS-DD TC for the
period 14-16 July 2009, by the following hosts at the indicated locations:
University of Rostock, in Rostock, Germany;
Canon,
in Irvine, California; and
Microsoft, in Redmond, Washington. The
purpose of this meeting would be to make progress on white papers and other
ancillary documents to support version 1.1 of the WS-DD specifications, and on
the work identified in the charter clarification recently adopted. In
order to assist in determining the viability of holding such a meeting (such as
whether a quorum would be present), the TC is conducting an online poll using the
OASIS electronic voting mechanism. The ballots are now open, and will close at
11:45PM Pacific Time on Friday, June 5, so that results are available for
discussion at our June 8 teleconference. The poll questions are indicated below
for your information, but responses should NOT be sent as a reply to this
email; instead, click on the links below to access the ballots on the WS-DD TC
web site and respond there. Thanks
very much for taking the time to answer these questions and assist the TC in arriving
at the correct decision on this proposal. Best
regards,
-- Toby and Alain BALLOT
