Subject: RE: JIRA problem identified

FYI, OASIS has also found the settings in JIRA that needed to be changed to permit full support for UTF-8 international characters in the issue database, and it's been fixed now – so we can go ahead and use international characters in our issues.

Subject: JIRA problem identified

We figured out what was causing the problem with my not being able to store the issue report from Mr. Poelsen – it had to do with “international characters" in his email. JIRA apparently likes to have plain text (really plain) in its description fields. I’ve asked OASIS to report this to the JIRA developers. In the meantime, if we stick to plain text in issue descriptions, we should be OK.

I’ve also done some tweaking on the JIRA permissions, which I hope resolves the problem Antoine was having that he reported on the call this morning and in his email.

So, if you have an issue in the old XML issue list, please go ahead and try entering it in JIRA, and let’s see if it works. Thanks!
