Steering Committee balloting now open

Members of the WS-I Member Section,

Voting for the Steering Committee election is now open through 9 pm EDT 11 January 2011.

Candidate 1:  Ram Jeyaraman of Microsoft

The Member Section Voting contact for each eligible Supporting Entity may cast their vote by email to sc-election@oasis-open.org  The eligible voting contacts are identified at http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/ws-i-ms/members/roster.php  OASIS rules dictate Steering Committee election results are determined by STV methodology,but with one candidate on the ballot, his first vote will determine his election.  I encourage everyone to express their support of the candidate to ensure his election and so he may know of the group's support of his candidacy.

If this candidate is validated by your vote he will join the Steering Committee at their 12 January teleconference and assume the available two-year the two-year seat.  The open one-year seat will remain open until resolved by Special Election or the Steering Committee is redefined in the Rules of Procedure.
