Subject: RE: Fw: [ws-rx-editors] CVS
Note that the BPEL guys never selected a license, they got around that I believe because source forge didn't enforce that at the time. Adding Diane Jordan to this as she has provided details before on that TC's usage. -----Original Message----- From: Anish Karmarkar [mailto:Anish.Karmarkar@oracle.com] Sent: Thursday, August 04, 2005 10:30 AM To: Paul Fremantle Cc: jamie.clark@oasis-open.org; sanjay.patil@sap.com; ws-rx-editors@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: Re: Fw: [ws-rx-editors] CVS Paul, I believe we can. The BPEL guys are doing exactly that. My understanding of how we were planning to use sorceforge CVS was that we would use it as a repository/versioning system for the editors. Nothing would ever be released on sourceforge (similar to bpel). All "releases" would be on OASIS's site. Since sourceforge requires us to select a license to create a project, this issue came up. -Anish -- Paul Fremantle wrote: > Doug > > I don't see how we can release anything under any license except OASIS's. > Can you check what implication there is in using SourceForge - i.e. can we > set up a project and not release anything externally via SourceForge. > > Jamie, > > I assume SourceForge meets the OASIS "stability" requirements as long as we > can find a way thru the licensing issues.
