If Lei's point is that the only way to know that a message is one-way is 
have the WSDL, then -1.

Add this to the SOAP schema:
     <xsd:attribute name="soap:mep" type="xs:anyURI" use="optional"/>

If messages aren't self-describing, applications won't scale and *will* 
break.

Using Chris's style is the only feasible thing to do; it's why 
mustUnderstand exists.
