Hi everyone,

I think the TC needs a new motion. The existing motion was to request the TC Administrator to start a ballot. That motion was acted upon, with the result that the request was rejected by the TC Administrator since it did not contain the requisite information.

The TC is now free to make a new motion - with or without the cross-references to the SX specs. If the SX cross-references are to be included, the motion must include the stage and projected completion date.

I have my own preferences, but they aren't really relevant. The decision process is this:

* We have a voted, approved motion from the last call to go ahead with option 1. So unless there is unanimous consent to change our plan of record, we need to do option 1. Mary has asked for a date to do this, so therefore we need to come up with a date. Unless there is objection I will go forward with November 30th.
* Alternatively, if there is a change of heart and we get unanimous consent to go forwards with option 2, then we can go back to Mary and get her to re-instate the ballot.

I am going on vacation as of tonight, so I'm hereby asking Sanjay to take over managing this process.

It seems the ballots started didn't agree with the TC's motion, so Mary
is restarting them.

However, we need a "timeout" date. If the SX specs don't make it to TC
by that date, then the RX specs are promoted using references to the
current CD.

I also propose we lengthen the ballot length from 2 weeks to 3 given
that a lot of people are off on vacation in August.

Please can someone on the SX TC let us know their proposed schedule?
