FW: Upcoming ballot for CS Status

Dear TC members,

 

Please see below for some breakdown information (thanks to Mary) for the different possible outcomes if the ballot for approval of WS-RX specs to the CS level were to include DCR conditions for the progression of WS-SX specs(to their CS level by a certain date e.g Nov 30th). This information may be useful for the discussion on today's conf-call.

Hi Sanjay,

 

 Here’s the breakdown of what will happen based on Monica’s motion. You can forward this to the TC if it’s helpful.

 

At WS-RX ballots close (fail):

WS-RX specs remain unchanged. They remain Committee Drafts.

 

At WS-RX ballots close (pass):

WS-RX specs remain unchanged. They are not updated to Committee Specification status. They remain in limbo until one of the following occurs:

 

WS-SX ballots close (pass) on or before 30 Nov:

WS-RX specs become Committee Specifications. All DCRs are updated.

 

WS-SX ballots close (fail) on or before 30 Nov:

WS-RX specs become Committee Specifications. Only DCRs to other WS-RX specs are updated.

 

WS-SX does not reach ballot on/before 30 Nov:

WS-RX specs become Committee Specifications. Only DCRs to other WS-RX specs are updated.
