Subject: Re: [ws-sx] Fwd: Email sent re: Groups - oasis - Ballot "ApproveWS-Security Policy Examples as a Committee Specification" has closed

Hi again Mary,

I think I see the problem I had: The email came in with a Subject:
"Groups - oasis - New ballot "Approve WS-Security Policy Examples as a   Committee Specification""
which does not include the "[ws-sx]" that other TC emails have.

Also the sender is: "workgroup_mailer@lists.oasis-open.org", which is not what I was thinking to look for.

I was actually looking for notifications on this document since I had communicated with you on it, but it escaped my notice in the fairly large amount of email I receive each day.

In any event, I would hope we could redo this vote with TC members more "readied" to be expecting it.

    Thanks,
    Rich

I don't believe I ever received the email requesting the vote. Also, I do not see it in the WS-SX email archives. Is it possible that there was a glitch in the mail system or am I missing something?

Is it possible to redo this vote - I think there may have been others who did not receive the announcement either, although some must have based on the votes.

    Thanks,

If people who are voting members did not wish to cast a vote because of the potential appearance of vote stacking, you can request 'persistent non-voting status.' That means that you no longer count towards quorum or have voting rights, but retain all other member privileges. If some of you just didn't have sufficient time to vote, you can request to have a new ballot started. While the minimum is 7 days, you can request that the ballot remain open for a longer period of time as well.

Mary
