Per a message sent to "Chairs" [1], the long-promised URI aliasing
tool (which provides for server-side rewrites) has been activated,
together with a move of the OASIS Library documents to a new web
server.

In connection with materials produced by the WS-RX, WS-SX, and
WS-TC TCs, you will now see that the clumsy, clunky, client-side
redirect (which used an intermediate "index.html" file with a
'META refresh' mapping) is gone. These TCs' NS URIs now dereference
*directly* to the RDDL namespace documents at the specified namespace.
That's what we (you) wanted from the beginning, and now it's done.

See a similar strategy at W3C:

"This is an XML namespace..."

Example NS URIs: they dereference immediately to
the RDDL namespace document that documents the namespace:

The aliasing solution allows us to display the contents
of directories that were previously non-displayable
because of conflict at the point of the "directory"
URI and NS URI (together with the clumsy redirect
and Apache DirectorySlash directive). Compare:

http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-rx/wsmc/200702 NS URI
http://docs.oasis-open.org/ws-rx/wsmc/200702/ Directory URI

Please send email if you perceive anything to be oddly
configured or misconfigured in these URI aliases, or
if you have questions about the new Web server performance.

Please note also the creation of a new email list [2] to
allow TC Administration to communicate directly with
(subscribed) TC Editors and other interested members:

Best wishes,
