At webMethods I work on the architecture, design and development of our BPM runtime, which manages the execution of long-running distributed business processes using both our service-oriented and document-oriented product offerings. BPEL is an area of great interest to me and great impact to my work.  

Since 1999, I have worked extensively on a number of J2EE specifications in the JCP effort, most recently J2ME Web Services (JSR-172), and since 2004, on W3C specifications, mos recently WS-Choreography. 

I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University, and have worked for many years in architecting, designing and developing highly distributed systems.
