We should definitely not talk about the other BPEL* extensions in the primer - only about extensibility in general as we do it in chapter 6. We may want to include BPEL4People and BPEL4Sub-Processes for the same reason. What do you all think? I forgot about the call this morning - please accept my apologies for having missed the discussion. I would check in after today's meeting). Changes: (I kept the change tracking on). I updated the first and third chapter. In the third chapter, I added a process flow diagram by reverse engineering some examples from the seventh chapter. However, if I get the complete process, I can re-draw the process. I also changed the partnerlink's diagram from the forth chapter. BTW since BPEL-J is not standardized, do we need to add the relationship with BPEL-J? Ayway, I added some more text for BPEL-J. Minor edits: 1. Changed copyright year from 2006 to 2007 2. Changed date in the footer. 3. Added my name and email in editors section. I would now need to work on chapter 4 and 5. BTW since different editors contributed in different section the style and flow is not very consistent. Do we want to make it consistent or just keep it as it is? Thanks Khanderao Diane Jordan wrote:Thanks Charlton. I believe Khanderao should now have the pen. I have also checked this into CVS. This revision contains my reorganisation of data in Section 7 to better combine with the structure in Chapters 4-6. There are a number of remaining issues we should resolve in theprimer:- Note that I have maintained the captions for the examples inChapter7. We need to consider numbering these captions in a consistent manner. I highly recommend using the [Chapter]-[Example] format(whereexamples are renumbered for each chapter) so as to make it easier for readers to follow. - We need to complete Section 1 - We still need to write Section 3. - I've provided an outline for Section 8.1 and will complete it inthenext revision Best, -Charlton. -- charlton_b@mac.com +1.650.222.6507 m +1.415.692.5396 v -----Original Message----- From: Dieter Koenig1 [mailto:dieterkoenig@de.ibm.com] Sent: 16 February 2007 05:53 To: wsbpel-primer@lists.oasis-open.org Cc: Simon D Moser; Diane Jordan Subject: [wsbpel-primer] WS-BPEL Primer Dear WS-BPEL Primer Subgroup, Simon and I checked a new revision 1.6 of the WS-BPEL Primer into CVS (also attached here). This revision contains substantial updates of theconceptschapters 4-6. We consider chapters 4-6 ready for a review by thewholeWS-BPEL TC, which has been originally targeted for the second half of February. (See attached file: wsbpel-primer-draft.doc) Additional comments: - All Editors: chapters 1-3, 8, and appendix A do not yet appear tobeready for a TC review. - Charlton: chapter 7 has a number of places where concepts or even definitions of WS-BPEL constructs are introduced. We believe thatconceptsshould be explained in chapters 4-6, and Simon and I are committed to fixing holes there as they are discovered in the TC review. Instead, wethink that chapter 7 should focus more on applying these concepts totheconcrete business scenario. Kind Regards Dieter and Simon -- Cycling SF -> LA http://www.aidslifecycle.org/5345 |
