Subject: RE: [wsbpel-spec-edit] WS BPEL CVS support

If you click on the tab called CVS on the web page it will take you to a
page that has some info and links to more info:
http://www-124.ibm.com/developerworks/cvs/?group_id=131
I'll look into the other guide Kevin mentioned.

This is very helpful. Thanks. Diane, if there is another guide as Kevin
mentioned, it would be nice to have that too.

There is a user guide on the WinCVS sits at
http://www.wincvs.org/winhtml/wincvs11.htm. WinCVS is a bit deceiving
in that it does not provide a view to browse the CVS server (you need to
check out a module first).

Remember to change the CVSROOT to
:pserver:<your-user-id>@www-124.ibm.com:/usr/cvs/wsbpeltc. You may want
to also turn off the “prune” empty directories option so you always have a
“view” what is being worked on. You probably also want to turn off the
“check out as read only” option – this is the default.

There are some additional features that can be used if you also download
and install ActiveState’s TCL engine.

Hope this helps.

Prasad can you send a pointer to WinCVS usage? I downloaded but haven’t
yet figured out how to use it.

Hi Daine,

Unfortunately my expertise is also at the user level but, minimally we
also need to the know,

(1) cvs repository path name (usually /usr/cvs/<something>) and
(2) the names of the "module(s)" we use in that repository (this is what
we supply as argument to the checkout command).

If we have the above information, IMO we should be ready to go.

Regards, Prasad

I've successfully gotten a site established for CVS support for us. You
should have all received a note from "oss" with the following link. If
you go to that link you will be registered with a password of your
choosing. Your user id is your last name followed by "-oss" - for
example, I am jordan-oss.

I set up two packages since I think we will want to use this for use cases

as well as the spec (and possibly other documents as we go along), but am
not quite sure that was right. I'm working on either getting a single
guest user id for everyone on the TC or will give an id for everyone. As

the administrator, I am now officially way past my level of expertise on
CVS and am not sure what more is required to actually get our document
onto the site and start using it. If one of you with more knowledge would

tell me exactly what else I need to do, if anything, to get this started
I'd appreciate it. Also, if someone wants to create a more decorative
header and footer, let me know.
