This is helpful thanks.

I changed the CVSROOT server name to account for the server name change.  Now I am running into a problem due to the following.

Any suggestions on how we should account for this?
I use cygwin and after the server name change, I now get the 
"The authenticity of host 'wsbpeltc.cvs.sourceforge.net (66.35.250.89)' can't be established." error.

I know you also use cygwin. If you managed to get past this, please let me know.

I am unable to connect to sourceforge cvs.  Is everyone seeing this problem, or is it just me?.

 

$ cvs update specifications
ssh: connect to host cvs.sourceforge.net port 22: Connection timed out
cvs [update aborted]: end of file from server (consult above messages if any)
