Info on hotels for Dec. f2f

Some additional info on where to stay
for the F2F at IBM Hawthorne:  From Paco who is located there: "People
that visit usually stay either at the White Plains Crowne Plaza (in downtown
White Plains) or at the Westchester Marriott on White Plains Road (in Tarrytown)."

and includes a hotel list as well as directions, public transportation
info, etc.    

I did a mapquest for the address, 19
Skyline Dr Hawthorne, NY 10532-2119,  to
get a map and from there did a business search for hotels.  Here are

There are a lot of choices with some
info about distances and web sites (be careful - remember this is a historic
area and many businesses have been around for a while - which is not always
the best recommendation for a hotel). 
  
Those of you who attended the first
F2F may recall it was at the "IBM Learning Center" which is in
Armonk, NY.  This is a conference center managed by Dolce (not IBM
in spite of the name): http://ibmlearningcenter.dolce.com/property/prop_home.php
  This time we're at the IBM Research working facility at Hawthorne
which is a 20-30 minute drive from the Learning Center.  The Learning
Center isn't on the hotel list for Hawthorne at the link above but it does
have guest rooms available for $140 including breakfast (I checked yesterday
- you may need to explain that you are attending a meeting at an IBM facility
to get that rate).
