Subject: Issue 158 - Proposal to Vote
Hi guys, this is the idea I mentioned last week about 158. The introduction currently talks about the two flavors of BPEL (abstract and executable), with abstract building on executable. Abstract BPEL is also mentioned a few times in the main body. These are not affected by the restructuring. This is still a specification that provides a language for defining both abstract and executable processes using common syntax and semantics. Abstract and executable share the functionality in executable; therefore, the main section about the details of abstract processes will go after all the constructs and behavior of exectuable bpel have been defined. That is, the section titled 'extensions for executable processes' will be merged with the one above it and the section 'extensions for business protocols' becomes the 'abstract process' section. The introduction will clarify, in the introduction, the structure of the specification using this rationale. ---
