Subject: RE: [wsdm] Proposal Definitions on Requirements Docs
My comments on "Management Using Web Services" definition: > -----Original Message----- > From: Heather Kreger [mailto:kreger@us.ibm.com] > > Management Using Web services: > Specifies how to to use Web services architecture and > technology to > manage distributed resources including defining how to represent the > manageability of manageable resources in WSDL. > This includes defining: > – Generic manageability schemas and interfaces > – Interfaces for directly manageable Web services ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ > – Interfaces that integrate existing managed ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ > resources into a Web services environment ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ > I don't recall anything in the requirements that cover the last two points. The middle point seems to belong to the "Mangement of Web Services" and the last one is an elephant in itself. I beleive the interfaces for each type of existing managed resource using Web Services would spawn its own specification. Regards, Pankaj Kumar.
