Subject: [wsdm][UPlat] Relationship, another perspective
Here is a use case: Imagine you are applying for loan. It uses several related webservices such as loan application, credit check, appraiser, underwriter, funding, closing the loan, etc. These related webservices, together they are performing a task. But it is not neccesserally a workflow. Cuz with the proper input, some of the operation can be done in parallel such as credit check and appraiser. Some of the webservice such as credit check and appraiser can be used independently for other tasks that have nothing to do with getting a loan, such as obtaining an insurance policy. So, they are related but not neccessarily part of workflow. Given the above, on MUWS, do we need to be concerned on the relationship between the manageability resources for each webservice. Because if someone turn off credit check webservice or throttle down the response time of credit check webservice, the related webservices: underwriter, funding, closing the loan, getting insurance policy, etc are impacted by such change, and their operating parameters may need to be adjusted as well. Is this part of what UPlat relationship may need to solve? Opinion? Feedback?
