Subject: RE: [wsdm][Editor] General Writing Guidelines
Andreas,
I believe the 'Web service' capitalization convention to be most pervasive in specifications and standards organizations. I have also seen MANY magazines that use this capitalization, including IBM Systems Journal, CACM, Web Services Journal. I don't think that some of the less technical magazines are consistent in their treatment.
I would prefer by far and away the 'Web service' capitalization in all cases, otherwise it gets confusing.

Igor:
I struggled with it myself. In many technical magazines (SD Times, InformationWeek, Network Computing, etc.), when they refer to SOAP/WSDL service, they use Web Service term (note the capitalization of W and S). They use Web service to refer non SOAP/WSDL service.
So, I decided to us the convention that major audience is familiar with.
Thoughts?
Thanks

Why did you change Web services to Web Services in the MUWS spec? This is not compliant with WS-Architecture :).

Hi Team:
I put together the following writing guidelines. I have applied the guidelines to Chapter 1 and 2 of MUWS Spec. In the coming days, I will apply the guidelines to the remaining of the document.
Please review the guidelines and provide feedback. I am happy to incorporate best practices.
Thanks
