WSDM InterOp Demonstration at EMW

Hello WSDM InterOp Participants:

OASIS has arranged to hold a conference call today to discuss the
upcoming WSDM InterOp Demonstration in September. I am enclosing the
call time, access number, and agenda for your review.  Please let me
know if you have any questions prior to the conference call.

Regards,
Jane

PS: Couple items to note before the call --

(1.) All participants should try to review the OASIS InterOp policy
found at: http://www.oasis-open.org/who/interop_demo_policy.php

(2.) All current Interop participants (listed below) are encouraged to
attend the conference call, as well as invite a company marketing
representative.

----Conference Call Information:

Wednesday - 24 August @ 1:00 PM PT / 4:00 PM ET
Conference Number: 319-643-7750; Code: 857415

----Conference Participants:

**OASIS Participants
Jane Harnad
Carol Geyer

**Current InterOp Participants (from the TC)
Heather Kreger, IBM
Bill Riechardt, HP
Zhili Zhang, TIBCO Software Inc.
Fred Maciel, Hitachi
Rebecca Xiong, Datapower

----Conference Call Agenda:

A.) Confirm List of Participants:

To date there are (5) participating companies (all listed above).  Each
participant will need to forward contact information directly to OASIS
at jane.harnad@oasis-open.org.

B.) Location/Date of InterOp Demonstration:

Event: Enterprise Management World 2005
Date: 14 September 2005
Location: Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center, Bethesda,
MD
http://www.emwusa.com/index.html

C.) OASIS InterOp Policy Walk-thru:

OASIS InterOp policy may be found at
http://www.oasis-open.org/who/interop_demo_policy.php.  We would like to
walk through the policy to avoid participant confusion and to be sure
all participants are prepared for the demo.  (If you have a moment -
please review the policy prior to the phone call.)

D.) Contacts and Email Lists:

The TC will need to designate an InterOp Lead. Jane Harnad will be the
OASIS representative, to include coordinating with EMW folks. Jane will
work with the InterOp Lead to ensure all the logistics are in place for
the event. The InterOp Lead will coordinate all TC questions and
comments throughout the planning process.

Carol Geyer will be coordinating promotion for the event, which
includes: InterOp Flyer (distributed to attendees), Press Release (in
advance), posting on OASIS web sites and email lists, etc.

Jane is creating two email lists, one for InterOp technical discussions
and another for marketing issues. Instructions for subscribing to these
lists will be distributed through the TC member list this week. All
InterOp Participants are advised to have at lease one representative
subscribed to each list. More are welcome and subscribing to both lists
is also okay.

Special Note:  Participants do not necessarily have to be TC members,
however, they do need to be OASIS members.

E.) InterOp Participant Fee:

OASIS InterOps are designed to be self-supporting, i.e., all expenses
are covered by the InterOp Participants. A flat fee of 750 USD per
participating company/organization has been set to help cover all the
costs associated with the InterOp (i.e. handout materials, audio visual,
signage, internet connectivity, room rental, etc...). Each InterOp
participant must remit payment using an online InterOp form at least 10
days prior to the event.

Note: OASIS welcomes any company that would like to sponsor the entire
or a portion of this InterOp, which would help off-set the Participant
fee.  In addition, any company is invited to provide sponsorship money
to be allocated towards a refreshment or other food function during the
event.  In return for this sponsorship, the company will be highlighted
in the promotional materials.

F.) Logistics:
The following logistical information has been forwarded to EMW for
scheduling. We need to confirm all the logistics once again, as well as
review any updates.

~ Setup, Testing, and Dismantal Times
~ Actual InterOp Time
~ Audio Visual and Other Technical Needs
~ Room setup

Thank you once again for participating and I look forward to working
with you on this event.

Regards,
Jane
