Correction: I believe issue PR003 is still Active and will be resolved by the completion of action item AI-2008-09-16-01 - Tony Nadalin to investigate backward compatibility problems related to issue PR003 .

WSFED TC Meeting minutes for September 30, 2008
       We are grateful to Nortel for sponsoring this call.

Summary of new Action Items:
        ACTION: Don Schmidt to create and distribute a draft
                        response for PR0001.

        ACTION: Mike McIntosh to create and distribute a draft
                        response for PR0003.

Summary of Action Items Pending from earlier meetings:
        ACTION: Marc to write a draft response for PR0002 and
                        circulate.  (See Agenda item #4)
                       
9/30 - This action item is still a work in
                                        progress.

        ACTION: Tony Nadalin to investigate the old and new
                        XML Signature Syntax and Processing specs and
                        old/new Canonicalization specs to determine
                        if a revision of the existing references or
                        if new references are appropriate in order to
                        maintain backwards compatibility. (See Agenda
                        item #4 - PR0003.)
                        9/30 - This action item is still a work in
                                        progress.

3. TC Logistics

               - Reminder:  
                        The TC meets every two weeks.

                       The next scheduled meeting is now Tuesday, October 14th, 2008.

Haven't seen this go out yet.  Hopefully a draft in the next
                                couple of days.

                        PR0001: Revise federation metadata document structure to eliminate
                                        ambiguities and improve interoperability[3]

                                STATUS: Pending.  Update should be in next revision of
                                                draft spec.
                               
                                ACTION: This still needs a formal response. Don Schmidt
                                                will draft a response and distribute prior to
                                                next WSFED TC [October 14th].                                
                               
                        PR0002: Federation metadata, DNS SRV, and RFC 2782 [4]

                                STATUS: No spec change. Awaiting draft response from
                                                Marc Goodner.
               

                        PR0003: Should WS-Federation references to XML DSig be
                                        updatedto        Edition 2? [5]
                               
                       

                                STATUS: Pending.  Update should be in next revision of
                                                draft spec.

                               ACTION: This still needs a formal response. Mike McIntosh will

                                                draft a response and distribute prior to next WSFED
                                                TC [October 14th].
