Came across this in my morning scan of tech news:

If Microsoft is part of this new consortium, I would assume that this 
means a green light for our work from almost all concerned parties, 
though I would be a lot happier if Sun and Oracle were signed on, 
too. Then if someone wanted to make my day, sign up OMG and Rational, 
too.
