Rich, I'd propose "Shared State" as another alternative. Of the names you suggested, I like Published State the best. PM The term "transparent state" has generated a number of requests for clarification about its meaning. This is being used in the draft spec to describe that portion of an entity's state being published in a manner that allows Consumers to programmatically set its values.
