Minutes clarifications

I didn't get these comments in on time, and they're fairly minor in any case:

Clarification from David Hull and Glen Daniels: Items to be specified [1] Security will be discussed but not in the non-normative part of the specification

This isn't completely clear to me, particularly "not in the non-normative".  My main concern is that WSN has potential security issues beyond the usual concerns.

Clarification from Fred Carter: Items to be specified [2] - Policy should be able to be expressed by consumer for example to prevent denial of service (lots of messages arriving at consumer) – other places that policy language applies.

This is a long-standing TIBCO concern, and I'm pretty sure I spoke up at that point as well.

David Hull: Statement of Purpose [2] Within epsilon of defining a Web Service for subscription handling.

The point being that "Base Notification" could better be termed "Subscription Management".


In section on Brokered Notification:

David Hull: Factoring base notification - Separability of publisher side of the broker.

Should probably read "Factoring as was done with base notification"

In "New issues and Clarifications:"

Glen - Why do we have several different filtering mechanisms?  Topics and selectors.

I believe I seconded that, mentioning that I had also heard feedback to that effect and we need to have a definite answer.

Ibid:

• Sanjay – Broker spec needs to specify what happens when one of the roles is not available.  Sanjay will follow up on issues 3.3 and 3.4 with Bryan and David Hull to see if any modification is needed.

Was that me or some other David?
