Subject: RE: [wsn] What's this about refprops disappearing from WS-A?
David,
I don't think the
WS-A decision should have such a big impact on us. The latest WS-Resource
spec talks about a number of different "Access Pattern Embodiments", where the
use of WS-Addressing is just one possibility. Even in the case where
WS-Addressing is used, the "WS-Addressing embodiment using Reference Properties"
is just one possible option (which, I imagine, will have to be dropped because
of the WS-A decision).

Amy Lewis on WSDL 2.0 tells me that WS-A has dropped refprops from EPRs, and that Mark Baker writes very favorably of the development here. More can be found on the WSA issues list. At this point, I'm not taking a position on SOAP vs. REST or similar issues. I merely note that dropping reference properties from EPRs would appear to impact WS-RAP, WS-RF and by implication, us. |
