Subject: Re: [wsrf] FW: Groups - oasis - Reminder to vote on ballot "ApproveWS-ResourceProperties as Committee Spec., and send 5 specs to OASISStandard vote?"

The ballot closes tomorrow and we are still waiting for 10 more votes.
PLEASE REGISTER YOUR VOTE TODAY if you have not already done so.

Regarding the requirement for implementation, the precise requirement
described in the TC process is as follows:

"Upon resolution of the TC to submit the specification, its Chair shall
submit the following items to the TC Administrator:
...Certification by at least three OASIS member organizations that they are
successfully using the specification; "

What we are doing right now is balloting for the resolution to submit the
specifications.

Resolving to submit the specifications as standards is a signal to
implementors that the specs really are not going to change. Like Fujitsu,
IBM also has a PR1 implementation but we prefer to wait until we have a
final standard before iterating this.

Martin,

Can you be a little more precise? Do we need to implement the version
before the vote, or commit to implement it.

For example, Fujitsu Labs, is at PR1. We don't want to implement PR2,
only to re-do it again in a month based on the final spec. But we will
claim to use the final version available by say N months after
publication.
